Chef Shaun Hill finds inspiration in Barbados

BigHospitality : "The annual Taste of Barbados food festival saw Shaun Hill of The Walnut Tree in Abergavenny turning his hand to the local cuisine. Although Hill's Welsh restaurant couldn't be much further from Barbados and its cuisine if he tried, there was little to dampen the chef’s enthusiasm when he visited the island as part of its annual Taste of Barbados food festival"

Life is good on this Caribbean jewel

Life is good on this Caribbean jewel : "After this past winter of our discontent in Calgary — a cold, snow-choked, relentless trek through gloomy economic news — Barbados came to my wife Gayle and I like a life preserver tossed to floundering sailors. This verdant, pear-shaped island nation, which can easily fit inside Calgary's city limits, sits alone on the eastern fringe of the Caribbean, 160 kilometres from its nearest neighbour, St. Lucia. From Barbados' dramatic east coast, there's nothing but 4,000 kilometres of ocean until you make landfall in Africa. And unlike many of its Windward Island cousins, Barbados is not volcanic in nature, it's a big ol' chunk of coral and limestone."

Barbados: a watersports wonderland

Forget lounging around with Simon Cowell and the jet set crowd – hang ing out with Brian Talma at Silver Sands is the coolest place to be. Matt Parsons goes surfing on the south coast, and looks at what other coasts offer TTGLIVE

Kelly Brook jets off to Barbados

Now I don't know who is Kelly Brook and to be quite truthful I don't really care...that much. What I care about like most Bajans...is that she has a good time in Barbados...just slightly beyond her imagination Now Magazine : "Kelly Brook has been showing off her curves in the Caribbean. The glamour model, 29, sported a slinky red swimming costume as she played in the sea near her hotel in Barbados. Earlier this week, she opted for a black polka dot bikini as she canoodled with toyboy Danny Cipriani, 21, on the beach."
