menmedia.co.uk Year-round sun, pristine beaches, palm trees, rum...and cricket. It's not hard to see why a tiny Caribbean island holds a big place in British hearts. With my preconceptions tucked neatly away next to my suncream, I merrily packed my bag and headed off on a journey for my first-ever dose of the sun-laden Caribbean. And what better place to start this adventure than Barbados? A place indelibly etched into the nation's holidaying psyche, pretty much since, well, people started going on holiday.
