Barbados,no surprises

Today is Independence day in Barbados and I decided to take a trip to my favorite spot on the east coast.I traveled on the Cherry Tree hill route, pass St.Nicholas' Abbey and Morgan Lewis windmill. Even though I must have past this route a few thousand times I still enjoy it immensely.Barbados is really a very beautiful island that has been spared many of the natural disasters that have not spared others. It is for this reason that when things like the earth shake that happened yesterday occurs, people are thrust into a panic. They never expect anything to happen to or in Barbados........

I am thinking that it must have been some kind of earth tremor or something that I just experienced.I was just here sitting when I felt dizzy.I was assuming that I may have been ill until i saw the table and chairs moving....now i have never experienced an earth shake before and although Trinidad has had them many times before i can't think of when Barbados would have experienced something of this nature...i guess i will soon find out..... and here are a few things I didn't know...... The last time that Barbados experienced tremors was 1947,now I knew nothing about that but i had the eerie feeling that it had happened sometime before.Apparently we can expect some more of that in the future... I think what people were thinking about, and what had them scared was the recent apartment collapse in Brittons Hill and the Kick 'em Jenny underwater volcano.
