Cleveland Business We had a wonderful time in Barbados, combining just a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxing. A wonderful week later, mindful of the airport demands for international travel, we arranged for a cab to pick us up at 3:30 a.m. and Kerr was there early, eager to do whatever his bleary-eyed travelers needed. It was that way everywhere on Barbados, where the people were friendly, interesting and wholly customer-oriented.
Global Holidays : "Once the home of huge colonial plantations, Barbados is now a destination for many sun hungry Brits wanting to get away from it all during the colder months. Far from abandoning its British-influenced past, the island state's 270,000 or so inhabitants have adopted elements of British culture into the West Indian way of life. Its national sport is cricket, while the island is still predominantly Protestant."
